Update: March 2022
Over February we’ve been busily growing our Kickstarter page following, which currently stands at a whopping 340 followers over a very short space of time!
This is an awesome start to our first project, and we’re confident that at this rate we’ll meet our target of 1000 followers by launch.
If you haven’t already, you can also follow our page by going to our Kickstarter page (link below) and hitting “Notify me on launch”!
Not only will you be notified the moment the game launches, but by adding to the number of followers, you’re letting other potential backers make a judgement call on how successful the campaign might be, which really helps us out.
Our first update is that we’ll be exhibiting at AireCon 2022!
AireCon is one of the biggest tabletop conventions in the UK and is held in partnership with the awesome team over at Watch It Played (opens in a new tab).
It’s taking place this weekend in Harrogate and you’ll be able to find us at Stall F10, demoing Amulet of Thrayax for three days straight. That’s a lot of murder and intrigue!
If you’re up for a fun weekend of gaming in the heart of the UK, you can find out more about the event and how to buy tickets on their website – just click here. (opens in a new tab)
Here’s the latest on what we’ve been up to behind the scenes:
New Prototypes – The new prototypes are in development now that the new prints have arrived. The updated tokens and board art look a lot closer to what we envision the retail version will look like, and now it’s just the mammoth task of making them all:
The hope is to have at least one of the new MDF prototype boards ready for AireCon, then the remaining tokens/boards finished by the end of the month.
BGG Dev Blog – I (Tom) have started writing a weekly dev blog on Board Game Geek, so users there can find out a bit more about Amulet of Thrayax.
For now, I’m just getting BGG users up to speed on the game and it’s key features, but will soon start matching the content of these posts so both the BGG blog and this blog become mostly identical.
You can find the dev blog posts in the Amulet of Thrayax forum on BGG – simply click here. (opens in a new tab)
Kickstarter Trailer – Everything is booked in now for the trailer and given it’s going to be a lot of amateur actors in LARP gear, somehow it’s turning into pretty professional production! Even the props are looking pretty epic:
The trailer shoot will be a lot of fun and we can’t wait to show you the finished result soon.
